Love is blind, they say; sex is impervious to reason and mocks the power of all philosophers. But, in fact, a person’s sexual choice is the result and sum of their fundamental convictions. Tell me what a person finds sexually attractive and I will tell you their entire philosophy of life. Show me the person they sleep with and I will tell you their valuation of themselves. No matter what corruption they’re taught about the virtue of selflessness, sex is the most profoundly selfish of all acts, an act which they cannot perform for any motive but their own enjoyment - just try to think of performing it in a spirit of selfless charity! - an act which is not possible in self-abasement, only in self-exultation, only on the confidence of being desired and being worthy of desire. It is an act that forces them to stand naked in spirit, as well as in body, and accept their real ego as their standard of value. They will always be attracted to the person who reflects their deepest vision of themselves, the person whose surrender permits them to experience - or to fake - a sense of self-esteem .. Love is our response to our highest values - and can be nothing else.
Ayn RandWhy is it that I can’t be nice to a straight man without him taking more out of it than he should. Ok, not all straight men, obviously. Just the creepy ones
I mean just because I’m friendly doesn’t mean I’ll suck your dick

The reason I never let it work out for too long is because I’d much rather have THIS ^. You can have sex with anybody, and if that’s all it is, that person isn’t special enough to keep around. THIS, right here, is what keeps somebody around. It keeps you on your toes, and worthy of your time.

the idea of “waiting” seems to be dead nowadays
Sex is sex, and love is love; they are seperate entities and though it seems all couples must have sex to love, they do not need love to have sex. No objections, I am not going to pretend to be someone with such hypocrisy, but I just wish I could witness two people being thrilled over a hand touch or good conversation. That used to be enough to send a girl over the moon, not just giving herself to whoever. Everybody believes in hookups like it’s nothing, but I see so many girls get a boyfriend the day after they’ve fucked the guy’s friend. If that’s your philosophy, cool, but if you treat someone you’re in a relationship with just like your random hookups, you might as well save the trouble of dating and just fuck. Cus to me, it just seems like the boyfriend can’t be that important to you if you’re making him just as unimportant as the others.
